| Tour Description | This castle city in the Southwest of the Czech Republic has preserved its medieval center as no other town in the region. For this reason it entered the UNESCO register of monuments of world significance in 1992. If you have time on your visit to the Czech Republic for only one excursion, consider going to Ceský Krumlov (or other destinations outside of Prague on our Popular Tour List). One of Bohemia's prettiest towns, Krumlov is a living gallery of elegant Renaissance-era buildings housing charming cafes, pubs, restaurants, shops, and galleries. The Castle of Cesky Krumlov is the second biggest in Bohemia (after the Prague Castle). This jewel attracts visitors from all over the world. Bustling since medieval times, the town, after centuries of embellishment, is exquisitely beautiful. In 1302, the Rozmberk family inherited the castle and moved in, using it as their main residence for nearly 300 years. You'll feel that time has stopped as you look from the Lazebnický Bridge and see the waters of the Vltava below snaking past the castle's gray stone. During the tour we will visit the Krumlov Castle and the uniguely preserved historical center. You can also taste local beer Eggenberg. On your wish we can prolong the tour and see even more: city of Ceske Budejovice (Budweis) or the Hluboka castle. |
